A bit of info.... Christmas Candles

Candles are a traditional part of Christmas and are used extensively in churches, often lit for the service on Christmas Eve. They are said to symbolise Christ, 'The light of the World'. The tradtion may be related to the Jewish Hanukkah, the 'Annual Festival of Lights'. In some parts of the world, people light candles placed on their window sills. This is supposed to go back as far as the Middle Ages when people lit the candles as a guide for the Christ child to their homes.
